Description of the Carrie Flower Social and Emotional Curriculum

The Carrie Flower Social and Emotional Program is an innovative educational initiative designed to support children and families in developing essential social and emotional skills. This program focuses on fostering self-control, promoting healthy lifestyles, enhancing emotional understanding, building high self-esteem, cultivating resilience, and improving interpersonal problem-solving abilities. These skills are crucial for positive social and emotional development in children.
This program aligns perfectly with the Pennsylvania Early Learning Social & Emotional Standards and is tailored for children in grades pre-k through 3rd grade. The Carrie Flower concept encourages children to view themselves as unique flowers in a garden—each with different shapes, sizes, and colors—coming together to create a beautiful bouquet. The program aims to cultivate a vibrant learning environment within schools.School video
